1. How important is the demolition/dismantling sector for companies, and do you offer special demolition crushers which for example are very easily transported?
Rolf Lieben, Apex-Lieben GmbH:
Demolition crushers are now available in a wide range of weight classes, and those weighing up to about 30 tonnes are certainly easy enough to transport. Even machines weighing up to 45 tonnes nowadays pose no great problem of logistics. Our machines in particular are very quick to prepare for work, and are ready for operation within 20 to 30 minutes – from unloading from the low-loader to their starting work on the building site, or wherever they are needed. Hydraulic hopper walls are raised and fixed with no trouble – it's all quite simple. This goes for crushers by Metso as well as OM. Our customers shy away from the complications of transport and setting up – in short, the threat of production down-time has to be excluded right from the start.
